40th Anniversary Gala: The Story Tellers

Spirit Movers

Formed at L’Arche Daybreak in 1992, the mission of the Spirit Movers is to share the sacred through dance. This unique dance troupe includes people of all abilities. They are dancers who inspire and transform the hearts of their audiences.

Sol Express

Formed and rooted in the L’Arche Toronto Community, the mission of Sol Express is to promote opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities to share their talents and stories through creative expression.

Cheryl Zinyk, Artistic Director

Cheryl has been in L’Arche for over 16 years, first at Daybreak and more recently at L’Arche Toronto. Cheryl has trained with numerous members of the Toronto Arts community in improvisation, clown, voice and puppetry. In 2003, Cheryl toured Europe and the United Kingdom researching theatre initiatives centered on adults with intellectual disabilities.
