The Day Program
Since 1986, Daybreak’s Meeting Hall has housed the Day Program, available to all core members.
Assistants and core members participate in baking and crafts, art and music therapy, as well as going out into Richmond Hill to swim and bowl.
Many of our core members have profound and multiple disabilties; they receive one-on-one physical therapy and excercise necessary for their well being.
The Day Program also provides local links in the form of volunteering in the wider community. Our core members and assistants share their gifts with others through their openness to serve: beautiful arts and crafts for community events, and baking cookies for the student retreats at the Dayspring Chapel. The days are full, and people take pride in the contribution they make to the community.
Please note that the Day Program is closed to the public. Members of the Day Program meet daily from 9-4.
After attending a few of the Friday evening services at the Dayspring spiritual centre, I was so impressed by the peace and quiet of the place and the dignity and respect shown by caregivers to their respective core members, that I am now honoured to be part of this great team at the Day Program.”
