12Dec. 20, 2007John GuidoChristmas Letter from John Guido, Regional Coordinator for L'Arche OntarioYesterday, Alia from Daybreak died and was buried (within hours according to Islamic tradition). I am sad that this precious woman has died and grieve for her devoted family and many friends. I also feel an emptiness inside because I was not present for her dying and for her funeral. I did not ‘attend’ to Alia and to her loved ones. I am peaceful knowing that her family, L’Arche and faith communities, and many dear friends attended to her in their final acts of care and service.

I found it the other day in the mailbox, where tidings of comfort and joy had arrived from the folks at L'Arche Daybreak.
